Just a quick note from India:
We (the Hindes’ and myself) have been in India for the past couple of days with the Jan 08 World Race team and have been processing through several events as of recent. Let me explain just a bit. The team experienced a very difficult situation two days before leaving the country for India. They were all robed at gun point while staying at a hostel. Needless to say it was a very traumatic experience as many of them had almost everything stolen.
Then couple that experience with having to replace passports and visas to travel to India within 24 hours. It has proven to be a very stressful time for many on the team. India is a very crowded, HOT, and challenging environment. Did I mention HOT and HUMID!! YUCK!
So with our visit to meet the team we felt it necessary to pull them out of the typical tight, rough, and simple living accomadations commonly associated with the WR. With the support of a couple people fiscally speaking we were able to bring them to a nice western-style hotel for a couple nights and days. This has proven very helpful as it has given most a safe place to process and work through their experience.
This morning the teams will put back on the full armor and return to their ministry efforts and good works. Please join me in prayer as they are needing to be filled with a peace and confidence to return giving out from the depths of their hearts. It has been a great time of rest for them and now they head back out. They are each such an amazing group of young adults who spend their time on the front lines. AMEN!
As for myself and a small group of others we are heading north to help lead and speak at a pastors conference. Please pray for safe travels and divine words as we encourage those who lead a generation of believers in a highly persecuted land.
I look forward to sharing more about my visit to India when I return to the states next week.
Blessings!
